TEN embodies elegance and brings back memories of the original Northern Hotel as the place to meet, greet and enjoy great food and drinks. Serving innovative, modern Montana cuisine with fresh, regionally sourced flavors, TEN’s menu offers a variety of options including, scallops and foie gras, hand cut steaks, local trout, and housemade pasta.

TEN’s private dining room seats up to 25 people; it’s the perfect place for a business dinner, birthday party or rehearsal dinner. The restaurant is open from 5pm-10pm daily while the lounge in TEN opens at 3pm and is the perfect place to meet and enjoy a handcrafted specialty cocktail. Enjoy live music in the lounge on Friday and Saturday nights.

Nick Steen, Executive Chef at TEN At The Northern Hotel

Born and raised in Billings, Nick Steen knows the flavors of Montana and how to bring them to the table with world-class presentation. During his over 15 years of experience in the food and beverage industry, Nick has focused on modern American cuisine with an emphasis on local and regional sourcing and he has twice been named one of the top ten chefs of the Northwest.

Most of his culinary skills are self-taught, giving Nick a unique, unassuming approach to food. Each season allows Nick the opportunity to try out new flavors as he conceptualizes dishes that highlight fresh, local ingredients. The energy in his kitchen is laid-back and lighthearted, and he makes sure everyone he cooks with has a voice in their craft.

Nick credits the chefs he has worked under with giving him belief in his culinary capabilities, a gift he wants to share with the next generation. That’s why he volunteers with ProStart to mentor local high-schoolers, giving them the skills and confidence that will help them succeed in the restaurant industry and beyond.
